The main reason to choose a 12 month SIM Only contract is because you will get a much better deal!

For instance, Three offer their SIM 300 deal on a 1 month or 12 month basis. You receive exactly the same allowances (300 min, 3000 text & 1GB data), but the 12 month option is £5 per month cheaper! Any calls, texts and data used outside of your allowance, will cost exactly the same whether you are on the 12 month contract or the 1 month rolling contract. Literally the only difference between these two SIM Only deals, is the contract length and the price!

We all know how quickly a year can go by so, unless you are specifically looking for a short term SIM only deal, a 12 month SIM Only contract is definitely worth considering!
